A Turkish soldier, who was injured in a rocket attack by terrorists in the country's eastern Agri province on Oct. 20, succumbed to his wounds on Tuesday, security sources said.
Zekeriya Altunok was among five soldiers who were injured in the rocket attack that targeted armored vehicle of the Turkish armed forces near the border with Iran.
Altunok was taken to state hospital in eastern Igdir province where he breathed his last.
In its more than 30-year terror campaign against Turkey, the PKK -- listed as a terrorist organization by Turkey, the U.S. and the European Union -- has been responsible for deaths of 40,000 people, including women, children and infants. The YPG is its Syrian offshoot.
