Speaking at the groundbreaking of Marmara University's Recep Tayyip Erdogan campus, President Erdogan said: We have implanted in every area the spirit and will to overcome obstacles rather than being hindered by them. Every achievement we score further consolidates our resolve to move forward to next goal. Today's self-confident Turkey believes in its own power, foils traps and focuses on its goals.

President Recep Tayyip Erdogan made a speech at the groundbreaking of Marmara University's Recep Tayyip Erdogan campus.

THE SUCCESS OF ITS UNIVERSITIES WILL BE THE BIGGEST SOURCE OF PRIDE FOR TURKEY

The success of its universities will be the biggest source of pride for Turkey, said President Erdogan, and drawing attention to the significant transformation achieved in every area across the country over the past 17 years, said: We have implanted in every area the spirit and will to overcome obstacles rather than being hindered by them. Every achievement we score further consolidates our resolve to move forward to next goal. Today's self-confident Turkey believes in its own power, foils traps and focuses on its goals.

TURKEY TO BUILD 500 HOUSES IN ALBANIA

Noting that Turkey delivered aid to Albania right after the earthquake, President Erdogan said that Turkey's Housing Development Administration TOKI plans to start the construction works for 500 houses in Albania as soon as possible in order to relieve the pain of the Albanian people, with whom Turkey has brotherly ties.

Regarding French President Emmanuel Macron's statement that NATO is experiencing brain death, President Erdogan said: I am talking from Turkey to Mr. Macron, and I will also say this at NATO. First of all, have your own brain death checked. These statements are suitable only to people like you who are in a state of brain death.

YOU WILL RESPECT TURKEY'S SOVEREIGN RIGHTS AND SECURITY NEEDS

Underlining that he has repeatedly explained to President Macron of France the threats against Turkey originating from Syria and the steps Ankara would take against these threats, President Erdogan stated: Turkey shares a 911-km-long border with Syria. Turkey has an agreement with Syria called Adana Agreement. How about you? What agreement gives you the right to enter there? What business do you have there? If you say coalition powers, we are also a member of the coalition powers. They can jump up and down all they want, you can mumble all you want, you will respect Turkey's sovereign rights, security needs and right to fighting against terrorism sooner or later. There is no other way-out. We cannot know what NATO means to France; yet, Turkey is the most important member of this organization with its military contributions and political support.

TURKEY'S SECURITY MEANS EUROPE'S SECURITY

Reminding those who are indifferent to Turkey's security concerns, France in particular, of the fact that terrorists from all over the world would be flocking to Europe were it not for Turkey, President Erdogan underlined: Turkey's security means Europe's security. Keep in mind that Europe's security hangs by a tread unless Turkey is secure.

Drawing attention to the continuing terror attacks on Turkish territory as well as on the areas under Turkey's control, President Erdogan warned that Turkey will not wait forever for the unkept promises to be honored, and said: We will not stand idly by in the face of this situation. We will not hesitate to do the job ourselves if the threats against our country from the safe zone and beyond are not eliminated within a reasonable span of time.
