Çankaya and Etimesgut districts were the hardest-hit areas by the rain.

In Çankaya, Ayşe Arslan (56) died in flood water while in Etimesgut, Metin Altınışık (54) died because of electric shock while he was cleaning the rainwater that flooded his workplace, the Governor of Ankara stated.

Arslan was pulled off from the water from people some 100 meters far from her home. She lost her life despite efforts by the emergency health service personnel.

One other person died because of a heart attack as he/she panicked after his/her home flooded with water.
