Governorship of Turkey’s eastern province of Hakkari has announced that 25 regions subordinated to the central district and the districts of Çukurca, Şemdinli, Yüksekova as of today (May 29) until June 13, 2017.
The Governorship in its statement announced that the “citizens are prohibited from entering the 25 regions under special security zone regulation without a permission and added:
“Terrorist and intimidation actions by the separatist terrorist organizations active within the borders of our province have started to have a negative impact on the social and economic development of our province.
“[…] Out Governorship is taking every necessary measure within the scope of the relevant regulations in order to provide security for our citizens and their property and ensure an environment of peace and trust as well as to protect our state and nation from all kinds of terrorist threats and attacks”.
