On emerging, Sleiman heaped praises on the paramount national role undertaken by Premier Salam at the current difficult circumstances, saying he’s greatly contributing to preserving stability in the country.
Sleiman said that they both saw eye to eye over the need to constantly adhere to the Constitution and law, holding everyone hindering the election of a new president of the republic ‘responsible in front of history.’

In reply to a question about the potential extension of the mandate of Army Commander, Sleiman stressed the priority for the election of the president of the republic, who is entitled to appoint a new army commander.
