“Our fight will continue until all terrorist threats to Turkey end”

Addressing AK Party's Parliamentary Group Meeting, President Erdogan said: Our fight will continue until all terrorist threats to Turkey, particularly in Syria and Northern Iraq, have ended and the last terrorist has been neutralized.

President and Justice and Development (AK) Party Chairman Recep Tayyip Erdogan delivered a speech at AK Party's Parliamentary Group Meeting.

Those, who strive to portray the separatist terrorist organization as a structure that fights against DAESH, are now trying to cover up the civilian massacres committed by the same organization, President Erdogan said, and underlined: Even though we brought to the attention of world public opinion with images the places such as schools, hospitals, mosques and churches which the terrorist organization turned into emplacements, no one wants to look at them. Because the point here is not what Turkey has or has not done or what a savage band of murderers the terrorist organization actually is. The point here is to encircle our country from the south by forming a terrorist corridor along our borders. We never have and never will allow this nefarious plan no matter the cost.

Noting that they conveyed all these facts to everyone they talked to during their visit to the U.S., President Erdogan said: We showed to the U.S. President and senators with documents, photographs and a film the bloody past behind certain figures in the leadership of PKK/YPG who were regarded as interlocutors. We observed that the picture we showed our interlocutors resonated with them. However, we are also aware that the U.S. engagement with the terrorist organization in Syria will not suddenly come to an end. That being said, it is a fact that things are getting more and more difficult in Syria for the terrorist organization.

Our fight will continue until all terrorist threats to Turkey, particularly in Syria and Northern Iraq, have ended and the last terrorist has been neutralized, President Erdogan underscored.
