Liberia’s traditional Queen, Amb. Julie Endee of the Liberia Crusaders for Peace over the weekend received the most innovative person of the year award from the Gender International Magazine Publications and Resource Center at the Mamba Point Hotel in Monrovia.
According to the organizing committee chair, Mildred Dean, Ambassador Endee was honored for her invaluable services to the nation.
Amb. Endee who received the MOST INNOVATIVE person award dedicated it to the Liberia Crusaders for Peace, the traditional leaders and the young people of Liberia but urged Liberians to be nationalistic.
In brief remarks, Amb. Endee said people who are considered
Ebola survivors are still faced with issues of stigmatization by family members and citizens at large but said citizens need to embrace survivors with love.
Ambassador Endee urged the Government of Liberia, lawmakers and other stakeholders not only to build structures as health facilities but a health system that every Liberian will benefit from immensely.
The honoree then lauded the Gender International Magazine Publications & Resource Center for bestowing such honor on her and expressed appreciation to the awards committee. “I feel most honored to have served the nation, the Liberian people and hereby donate a purse to the media group as my support,” Ambassador Endee intimated.
