IT Specialist, Writer Serdar Kuzuloğlu Detained

At 6:40 a.m. this morning (November 1), IT specialist, writer Serdar Kuzuluoğlu posted on Twitter “I am being detained as part of the FETÖ (Fethullahist Terror Organization) investigation. I cannot believe it”. His tweet was deleted shortly after.

A new tweet was posted from his account at around 10 a.m. but it is not known whether this was a real-time or a scheduled tweet.

His acquaintances have confirmed, that Kuzuloğlu was taken into custody.

About Serdar Kuzuluoğlu?

He started working in media sector in 1995. He wrote for newspapers such as Posta, Fanatik, Milliyet, Finansal Forum, Radikal and Cumhuriyet daily. He also contributed to the creation of the websites of these newspapers except Cumhuriyet daily.

He worked as a columnist for the IT magazines of PC WORLD, ComputerWeek, .net, Paprika , hosted radio programmes on Radyo Kozmos and NTV Radyo, and TV programmes on Technology Channel, Business Channel, TRT Haber and TRT 1 channels.

He worked at Doğan TV Holding as the New Generation Services Director and founded the MYK digital agency.

He is one of the founders of the master programme Communication and Marketing on Social Media at the İstanbul Bilgi University/ Next Academy, where he also gives lectures. He is the editorial director of the website Dünya Halleri. (EA/DG)
