ISF issues New Year's Eve guidance statement

NNA – The Internal Security Forces issued on Wednesday a guidance statement on the occasion of New Year’s Eve, calling on the citizens to demonstrate full commitment to safety rules and regulations.

Driving carefully, abiding by speed limits, avoiding driving under influence of alcohol, buckling up, avoiding the usage of cell phones while driving, as well as respecting traffic lights, are among the guidance points mentioned in the statement.

The ISF also warned that radars will be intensified in different regions to intercept speed violations, as well as check points to measure the drivers’ alcohol level.

A campaign titled “Don’t Drink and Drive” will be distributing awareness bracelets in cooperation with the national committee for traffic safety and Charlie Taxi.
