NNA – Saudi Embassy in Beirut inaugurated, in a ceremony at the embassy on Wednesday, the Saudi-Lebanese Business Center, in presence of Caretaker Minister of Economy and Trade, Alain Hakim, and Saudi Chargé d’Affaires, Walid Bukhari.
The event was also attended by Internal Security Forces Chief, General Ibrahim Basbous, as well as the Ambassadors of the Gulf Cooperation Council.
“This initiative comes at a time when the Saudi economy is entering a new phase (…) aiming to enhancing the private sector, and launching a new stage of sustainable development that shall be flourishing with new opportunities deemed of interest for the Lebanese and Saudis equally,” Bukhari said in his word.
“This initiative mirrors the Kingdom’s constant keenness on entrenching the bilateral relations,” he added.
“We are looking forward to the role the Center will assume at this time (…) as the bilateral ties are at the threshold of a new stage based on trust and common interests,” he added.
For his part, Hakim upped calls upon “our brothers in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, to renew their confidence in economy and investments in Lebanon,” as well as to visit “their second country.”
