Speaking at the weekly group meeting of her party, HDP Co-Chair Pervin Buldan has said, If we do not struggle together, trustees will also be appointed to cities like Istanbul and Ankara. Not seeing this is an utter political blindness.

Peoples' Democratic Party (HDP) Co-Chair Pervin Buldan spoke at the weekly group meeting of her party today (November 5).

Some highlights from her speech were as follows:

'Do you think that Kurds do not see this cruelty?'

"We will not let the ones who try to make the HDP collapse. HDP has not collapsed and it will not do so. We have not obeyed and we will not do so. So long as there is the HDP, there will also be hope, courage and victory. Those dreaming of a politics without the HDP should know that: The dream of our oppressed peoples will come true.

"Those who say that they do not have any problems with the Kurds do not leave the Kurd in peace in their graves. Everyone has seen what was done to the [forcibly detained] child in Batman. Do you think that Kurds do not see this cruelty? We know that you have a problem with Kurds. You should know that we, the Kurds, also have a problem with you. You have gone down in history as political plunderers, do not forget that.

'Mizrakli revealed the theft of the trustee'

"Our co-mayors have been removed from office without a single crime. Selcuk Mizrakli was the elected [Metropolitan] Mayor of Diyarbakir. The only crime of Mizrakli is that he revealed the theft of the trustee appointed to the municipality. It is a place where plunderers and thieves walk on the street freely and the ones who uncover their theft are put behind bars.

"The name of this system is Presidential Trustee System. We will keep on laying claim to the people's will in the strongest way possible. We want everyone on the side of justice and democracy to do their best.

'Let us lay claim to democracy together'

"They want to turn the whole public space into a trustee-appointed place. They are afraid of the ballot box. We know that they are behaving that aggressively for that reason. Let us lay claim to democracy, law and people's will together. If we do not struggle together, trustees will also be appointed to cities like Istanbul and Ankara. Not seeing this is an utter political blindness.

"So long as there is the HDP, there will also be hope, courage, determination and victory. So long as there is the HDP, the hopes of our peoples for peace, democracy, freedom and justice will never become forlorn."
