Hajjar refuses having new norms parallel Constitution

NNA – MP Mohammad Hajjar on Tuesday relayed the Future Movement’s utter refusal to have new norms be placed in parallel to the Constitution.

“The Future bloc has always sought guarantees to ensure the continuity of the Lebanese presidency and state all based on the Constitution,” the lawmaker stressed in an interview with the Voice of Lebanon radio station.

As for a compromise that will grant presidential candidate MP Michel Aoun the presidential seat, in return for granting Future Bloc leader MP Saad Hariri the premiership, Hajjar said that such a formula could only be decided by MPs.

As for the ongoing dialogue between the Future bloc and Hezbollah, Hajjar said that it aimed at alleviating tension at the internal scene.
