NNA – “Future” bloc convened on Tuesday its weekly meeting chaired by former Prime Minister, Fouad Siniora.
The attendees touched on the general situation in Lebanon.
The bloc hoped that “Prime Minister-designate, Saad Hariri’s efforts and contacts will pave the way to form a cabinet as soon as possible”, Deputy Kazem Kheir said following the meeting.
“The new cabinet’s main task is to prepare and approve the general budget for 2017 to later send it to the parliament, in addition to the approval of a new electoral law at the parliament,” the statement stressed.
The bloc said that the new presidential era should be effective because the Lebanese people pin hopes on the presidential tenure in order to end the impasse.
“The attendees praised the democratic ambiance which has prevailed over Future bloc’s Second Conference,” the statement concluded.
