An explosion has occurred in a vehicle near Erciyes University in Kayseri.

A bomb-laden vehicle exploded by a public bus carrying soldiers as well at 8:45 a.m.

A large number of police, ambulance and medical teams were dispatched to the scene.

The wounded people were taken into Erciyes University Medical Faculty Hospital by ambulances.

A gag order has been issued on the incident.

Governor: A terror attack

Kayseri Governor Süleyman Kamçı said:

“We condemn this terror attack. We have martyrs and injured people. Blood is needed. What exploded by the bus is a bomb-laden vehicle”.

While the Turkish Armed Forces (TSK) declared that 13 soldiers were killed and 48 personnel, including civilians possibly, wounded, Minister of Interior Süleyman Soylu said there are 55 wounded people and 12 of them are in serious condition. (NV/TK)

Yılmaz Öncü (18) wounded heavily in the attack carried out against the villagers in Turkey’s southeastern Uludere district of Şırnak province on May 29, has lost his life in the hospital to where he was taken for treatment.

Yılmaz Öncü had lost one of his legs resulting by the shelling fired from Gülyazı Regimental Commandry, and taken into the Şırnak State Hospital.

A group crossing into Iraqi Kurdistan Region on May 29 for border trade was exposed to assault with mortar shelling on their return to Roboski, and 18-year-old Vedat Öncü had lost his life on the scene as five others wounded.

HDP’s Encü is not let inside his own village

According to the report of Yannis Vasilis Yaylalı on Activity for Peace website, Peoples’ Democratic Party (HDP) Şırnak MP, Ferhat Encü is not allowed to enter his village, Roboski.

“I am not allowed even to go to my own condolence over two days. I am being obstructed without being given any reason”, wrote Encü on his Twitter account. (EKN/TK)

President Erdoğan: FSA is Not a Terrorist Organization

Holding a statement at the Scientific and Technological Research Council of Turkey (TÜBİTAK) awards ceremony in the Presidential Palace in Ankara, President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan has made a statement about Operation Euphrates Shield running in al-Bab.

Erdoğan said in his speech today (December 29) that “We don’t receive the slightest support from any of the so-called ally states in the region, nor the NATO (North Atlantic Treaty Organization)”.

“We are the ones who have put up the greatest fight against Daish”

Stating that Turkey did not receive any support from the NATO or the other ally forces in the region, President Erdoğan has added;

“Then again, lies over lies. What do they say? ‘Turkey supports Daesh (Islamic State of Iraq and Syria)’. We are the ones who have put up the greatest fight against Daesh.

“At this point, we are the ones who has suffered the loss and from the start, the Free Syrian Army (FSA) has also suffered great losses.

“The FSA is not a terrorist organization, as a matter of fact, this is an organization for which the US in the beginning had asked [Turkey] to establish it together’.

“We now act together with them, and provide them the necessary support. Why? In order to not leave them alone on their own lands”.
