Derbas says Arsal blast pushes for urgent cabinet activity

NNA – Social Affairs Minister, Rashid Derbas, said on Friday that Arsal blast and the prevailing stage that Lebanon endured push for swift cabinet activity to provide the country with the minimum of pressing needs and requirements.

Interviewed by the Voice of Lebanon radio station, the lawmaker refused caving in to the desires of some political sides at the expense of abolishing the nation.

The Minister also relayed Prime Minister Tammam Salam’s ire from the current situation.

Moreover, he didn’t see in news about exporting Lebanon’s garbage “a mere announcement of a new plan, but rather more an attempt to bury the already existing one.”

“Salam is not convinced about attempts to export garbage, but he would rather not close windows before solutions, even if they seem to be imaginary ones.”
