NNA – Minister of the Displaced, Alice Chabtini, said on Thursday that “Lebanon can not bear additional shocks, especially that the reasons behind boycotting cabinet sessions are not worthy of destructing the country.”
“I represent the silent majority in the country, a majority that refuses escalation and does not endorse the opinions of Minister Gebran Bassil (…). The Lebanese, for the most part, do not want to learn the Constitution. They prefer a solution to the trash crisis, and would rather eat and drink,” she said in an interview with the Voice of Lebanon radio station.
The Minister said contacts were underway to reconcile points of view. “But no one knows what will happen,” she added.
