Arsenal go on to lead Premier League, Real Madrid win El Clasico, PSG victorious in Le Classique

England's Arsenal, Spain's Real Madrid, and France's Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) were each on top of their leagues at the weekend, defeating their opponents.

Arsenal beat Leeds United 1-0 on Sunday at Leeds' Elland Road to go on their lead in the English Premier League.

Bukayo Saka scored the winning goal for Arsenal in the 35th minute.

The Gunners took points to 27 in 10 matches.

Second-place Manchester City have 23 points after they lost to Liverpool 1-0 on Sunday at the Anfield Stadium.

Mohamed Salah scored a second-half goal for Liverpool.

Third-place Tottenham Hotspur won against Everton 2-0 in London to have 23 points in the league.

Real Madrid beat Barcelona 3-1 in El Clasico

In the Spanish La Liga, Real Madrid defeated Barcelona 3-1 to clinch an El Clasico victory Sunday.

Karim Benzema, Federico Valverde, and Rodrygo were the scorers for the Whites at the Santiago Bernabeu Stadium.

Ferran Torres netted for Barcelona once.

Following the win, the Whites jumped to the top of La Liga with 25 points, three points ahead of second-place Barcelona.

Atletico Madrid, Real Betis, and Real Sociedad have 19 points to follow Barcelona.

PSG beat Marseille 1-0 in Le Classique

Brazilian star Neymar scored near the end of the first half as Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) beat bitter rivals Olympique Marseille 1-0 to win Sunday's Le Classique in the French Ligue 1 in Paris.

Olympique Marseille defender Samuel Gigot was sent off in the second half for a foul on Neymar.

PSG boosted their points to 29 to be on top of the French league.

One of the title contenders, Olympique Marseille have 23 points in 11 matches.

Second-place Lorient have 26 points after a goalless draw with Reims on Saturday. On the same day, Lens beat Montpellier 1-0 to reach the third spot in the standings.

Lens have 24 points, and they are seeking a mistake of Lorient.

Italian leaders Napoli beat Bologna

Napoli are spending an impressive Italian Serie A season as the leaders beat Bologna 3-2 in a Sunday match.

The Naples club have 26 points to top the Serie A.

Second-place Atalanta won against Sassuolo 2-1 on Saturday to have 24 points in the league.

Now having 23 points, AC Milan are chasing Atalanta after they beat Verona 2-1 on Sunday.

In a Turin derby, Juventus beat Torino 1-0 as Dusan Vlahovic scored a late winner for the visitors.

Juventus are in the eighth spot with 16 points.

Union Berlin stun Dortmund, cement their lead in Germany

A mediocre club from the German capital, Union Berlin are in a dream season in the German Bundesliga.

On Sunday, Union Berlin beat Borussia Dortmund 2-0 at home thanks to the brace of Janik Haberer as the Berlin club consolidated the top spot.

Union Berlin increased their points to 23 in 10 matches, while the gap against their nearest opponents is four points.

Bayern Munich are in the second spot with 19 points as they hammered Freiburg 5-0 at Munich's Allianz Arena on Sunday.

Freiburg have 18 points to rank third in the Bundesliga standings.
