Special Operation police officer Muhammet Ali Mevlüt Dündar (25) has lost his life in a clash that erupted between Kurdistan Workers’ Party (PKK) members and security forces in Turkey’s southeastern province of Hakkari.
In a statement, Hakkari Governorship said that Dündar was wounded during the operation launched against the PKK/KCK and taken into Hakkari State Hospital. Dündar couldn’t be saved despite all the efforts.
Dündar had five siblings. He is expected to be interred in his hometown Karaman tomorrow (June 29). (NV/TK)
