The Turnover Value Index of Transport and Storage for the first quarter of 2023 reached 126.7 units (base year 2015=100), recording an increase of 29.1% compared to the corresponding quarter of 2022, according to data published by the Statistical Service of Cyprus on Friday.
According to CYSTAT, while all sectors recorded a significant increase, compared to the first quarter of the previous year, the biggest one was observed in air transport by 387.9%.
By economic activity, the rest of the increases recorded in land transport by 22.7%, in water transport by 19.4%, in warehousing and support activities for transportation by 18.6% and in postal and courier activities by 12.1%.
