Turkish stocks up at Wednesday’s close

Türkiye's benchmark stock index ended Wednesday at 5,438.38 points, up 1.05% from the previous close.

Starting the day at 5,378.88 points, Borsa Istanbul's BIST 100 index earned 56.48 points compared to Tuesday's close of 5,381.90 points.

The index's lowest value during the third transaction day was 5,341.18, while its daily high was 5,442.24.

The total market value of BIST 100 was around 4.43 trillion Turkish liras ($234.6 billion) by market close, with a daily trading volume of 86 billion liras ($4.56billion).

During the day, 50 stocks on the index rose and 47 fell compared to the previous close.

The price of an ounce of gold was $1,824.7, while Brent crude oil sold at around $82.3 per barrel as of 6.20 p.m. local time (1520GMT).
