Ameer, Jamaat e Islami, Pakistan, Sirajul Haq, on Thursday, returned home from Saudi Arabia after a weeklong visit here. Earlier, addressing the Pakistani community in Jeddah before his departure for Islamabad, Sirajul Haq urged them to support the JI for the establishment of an Islamic order in the country.
He said that the JI’s sole agenda was an Islamic Pakistan, because an Islamic Pakistan alone could be a prosperous Pakistan. He said that Pakistan could not progress unless its system became in harmony with the ideology under which it came into being.
Sirajul Haq deplored that a political wrangling was going on in the country in the name of Senate elections and there were reports of horse trading. Politics had become the business of the wealthy and the common man could not even dream of returning to the assemblies. However, he said that if the Senate election was made a game of the wealthy, the highest law making body of the country would lose its sanctity.

AA Reporter Özer Wounded in Afrin

State-run Anadolu Agency senior reporter Sarp Özer has been wounded in his leg and hand during his coverage of “Operation Olive Branch”, which has been launched by the Turkish Armed Forces (TAF) and Free Syrian Army.
According to the AA, shrapnel pieces hit Özer’s hand and leg due to the missile and howitzer launched on the area.
Özer was taken to Kırıkhan State Hospital following his initial treatment. Özer’s health condition is fine.
