President Christodoulides receives UAE Foreign Affairs Minister

Cyprus President, Nikos Christodoulides, met on Thursday morning, at the Presidential Palace, with United Arab Emirates (UAE) Minister of Foreign Affairs, Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed al Nahyan. According to information, the Emirati Foreign Minister, with whom Christodoulides has very good relations since he was head of the Cypriot diplomacy, visited Cyprus to congratulate the President in person on his election. During the meeting that lasted for about an hour, the two officials reviewed the bilateral relations of the two countries and discussed international and regional issues. The President bade farewell to the UAE Foreign Minister escorting him at the exit of the Presidential Palace, along with the Cypriot Foreign Affairs Minister, Constantinos Kombos. President Christodoulides then departed from the Presidential Palace with a view to embark on his flight for Greece, where this afternoon he will be awarded an Honorary Doctorate from the University of Piraeus. On Friday the President will go to Delphi, where he will attend an event organised by Invest Cyprus, on the sidelines of the Economic Forum, while at 19:00, he will address the Forum and a discussion will follow.
