Pakistan to play role in Yemen conflict to maintain peace: Khaqan (The Balochistan Times (Pakistan))

Minister for Petroleum and Natural Resources, Shahid Khaqan Abbasi Monday said Pakistan was committed to play its due role in Yemen conflict to maintain peace.
Talking to a private news channel, he said Pakistan and Saudi Arabia were enjoying good brotherly relations, adding that Saudi Arabia is also helping in strengthening the national economy.
To a question, he said the operations in North Waziristan Agency (NWA) and Karachi had launched with consultation of major political parties. Law and order situation of Karachi is improving due to ongoing operation, he added.
He said Karachi is economic hub of the country and peace is imperative for business activities and provide relief to the citizens.
To another question, he said the government has signed several agreements with Qatar in various fields like energy, trade and defence.
He said the first Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) had reached the Port Qasim LNG terminal, adding the second LNG will be rushed to the country in mid of next month.
