The allparty conference, led by JamaateIslami, Tuesday blamed the West for waging sentimental war on Muslims.
Dozens of political and religious parties, including PMLN, PPP and PTI alleged that Western countries were behind the repeated move of blasphemy urging unity among Muslims.
A committee comprising JI’s Liaqat Baloch, PMLN’s Saad Rafique, PTI’s MehmoodurRasheed, JuD’s Hafiz Abdur Rehman Makki, Pir Mehfooz Mashhadi, Maulana Allah Wasaya and Hafiz Raza Kazim has been formed at the end of the fivehour long conference for holding meetings with the ambassadors of Europe and America and Muslim countries in Islamabad to pursue them for formation of an international law in the United Nations aiming to protect sacredness of every religion and all Prophets (Peace Be Upon Them).
The speakers including JI chief Sirajul Haq, JamaatudDawa head Hafiz Saad, JUIS chief Maulana SamiulHaq, Ulam Council head Maulana Tahir Ashrfi, AJK former PM Sardar Attique, MajliseKhatmeNabawat head Maulana Allah Wasaya, PPP’s Naveed Chaudhary, JUIF Lahore chief Maulana Amjad Khan, MajliseWahdatul Muslimeen leader Allama Nasir Sherazi, Jamiat Ahlhadith chief Hafiz Ibtisam Elahi Zaheer, Pakistan Awami Tehreek leader Khurram Nawaz Gandapur, religious scholars Maulana AtaulMomin, Mufti Muneebur Rehman, Qari Hanif Jalandhri, Hafiz Akif Saeed and others were of the view that unity among Muslim world was the need the hour to end the Charlie Hebdo type incidents in future.
They believed that a Muslim stands above of sectarianism, terrorism and rigidity and that Islam advocates peace and love among mankind. However, they held that a Muslim could never compromise on the respect of the beloved Prophet Muhammad (PBUH).
“The West must understand that we are ready to render every sacrifice to protect the sanctity of the Prophet of Islam. The attack on the holiness of the Prophet is the attack on the life and property of every Muslim,” they said.
The speakers added that those who made blasphemous attack on the Holy Prophet must know that they were actually making worst violation of human rights and terrorism against 1.5 billion Muslim world. The peace and harmony in the world could only be possible by giving respect to everyone believe, they said.
The minority leaders J Salik and Sardar Sham Singh also spoke on occasion and said that every civilised person of this world has a great respect for the Prophet of Islam and that the disrespect to the Prophet was a crime against humanity.
The APC issued a joint declaration at the end of the conference demanding Saudi Arabia to host a Muslim world conference in Madina which issue a joint declaration for the protection of dignity of the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH). If KSA was not in position then Pakistani government immediately call the OIC meeting on the issue, it was demanded.
The joint declaration noted that the incidents of desecration of the Holy Quran at the Guantanamo bay prison, US Pastor Terry Jones condemnable attempt to set on fire copy of the Holy Quran and the repeated publications of blasphemous caricatures in Denmark, Holland, and France, and other western countries were being ignored as freedom of expression and opinion while any criticism on an individual, constitution, flag and the Zionist holocaust had been prohibited and declared a crime which clearly showed double standards.
The APC condemned the terrorist act in the Punjab capital, leading to five deaths and injuries to others. The leaders of all parties prayed for the early recovery of the injured and expressed full sympathies with the bereaved families.
