Pakistan’s Ambassador to China Masood Khalid has invited Chinese media professionals to visit Pakistan to observe there rich history and cultural heritage. He was addressing a ceremony on completion of the Journalists Exchange Programme 2014-15 participated by a group of Pakistani journalists in Beijing, said a message here. The five-member Pakistani delegation both representing print and electronic media included Imdad Hussain, Furqan Rao, Muhsin Ali, Yagsha Iqbal and Bisma Bhutta. Ambassabor Khalid described China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) as catalyst of regional economic integration and vital bridge at the confluence of Road and the Belt being located at the cross-road of the Central Asia, the Middle East and South Asia. The Ambassador pointed out that CPEC will tap enormous natural and human resources, address the acute energy short-fall, modernize transport infrastructure, inject strong impulse for the national economic development and help build a knowledge base egalitarian society.
The impressive certificate award ceremony was held at China’s prestigious Renmin University campus Tuesday. The Pakistani journalists attended reorientation course under Pakistani Journalists Exchange and Training Programme 2014-15. The ceremony begun with Video reviewing the activities of Pakistani media persons Exchange programme. It was also addressed by Prof. Guo Gingguang, Executive Dean of School of Journalism and Communication, Renmin University, Due Yue, First Secretary of Department of Asian Affairs, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ms Li Zhenshi and Deputy Director of International Office, Renmin University. Later, certificates were awarded to the participating journalists. As part of their study tour, the Pakistani journalists visited ten major cities of China included Beijing, Shanghai, Hangzhou, Nanjing, Jilin, etc.
